Though the early adopters and enthusiasts of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology have enjoyed some great returns on their investments, most of the general public are still either not sure where to start or reluctant to invest substantial sums of money as prices of cryptocurrencies can be extremely volatile.  Coinseed aims to solve this problem by providing easy access for people to make microinvestments in cryptocurrencies.  Users of the Coinseed platform can link their credit card and pick the portfolio of cryptocurrencies that they want to invest in. Coinseed will automatically collect the spare change from a transaction by rounding up the users’ purchase amount to the next dollar.  Additionally, Coinseed users can convert their existing portfolio into a new one.  The project team is calling this feature “Portfolio Management” and no other cryptocurrency platform has this feature of converting a portfolio into another portfolio.  Currently, the platform supports 8 different cryptocurrencies including: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Ripple, Monero, Litecoin and ZCash.  The project plans to add additional cryptocurrencies month to month on an ongoing basis.

PROS:  Marriage of favorable trends in adoption of mobile applications as well as enthusiasm in investing in cryptocurrencies, provides low-cost / low-investment hurdle option for investing in crypto (micro-transaction investing), multiple means of realizing liquidity through token appreciation / sale as well as earnings distribution.

CONS:  Allows for everyone’s portfolio on the platform to be viewed and replicated for a small fee, could cause excess volatility in the market by creating a “follow-the crowd” investing strategy with complete neglect for contrarian investment strategies, KYC report not completed for management team, whitepaper is relatively sparse.
